5 Stars WOW
Can’t beat amazon on the price and the TV is HOTTT! The settings right out of the box were great, the setup for other stuff is very straightforward. I’m lovin it…the football games in HD, man, what a sight.

5 Stars Fantastic TV
I really like this tv. Upgraded from 720p LCD projection tv. Great improvement. It does have reflections the old tv didn’t have. But not a problem. The funny thing is I don’t notice them during the day with the curtains open. But I see them at night and it’s the wall I see not the lights.

I have it connected to my PC via super VGA cable. Looks great. At first I used a cheap cable I had lying around and had ghosting problems, bought a quaility cable and cleared it up.

Only draw back was my tv was shipped through Pilot shipping and it took them 13 days to get here. Amazon with a simple phone call and one step up the food chain did give me my shipping charge back. Yes they say free shipping but they hide the cost you see, but they know how much it is. Upon delivery the guys did a good and fast job. Only 15 minutes and they were out of my house and I was enjoying my tv.

Blu Rays look fantastic.

5 Stars Thank you Samsung and Amazon!
I can confirm what so many others have had to say about this TV. As near to perfection as I think any TV can be! Okay, the sound isn’t the greatest. But we did use just the tv sound for about 3 days and it was quite acceptable until we bought and hooked up a Sony HT-C100 (Walmart $256) soundbar system. We aren’t audiophiles, but the TV does lack a little if you want that theater experience. And as most on here and other review sites have already mentioned, most of us who are buying a TV of this caliber won’t mind investing a few hundred more for a sound boost.

The capabilities of this set are truly amazing. But keep in mind that source is paramount. We have watched blu-ray (got the Samsung player offered with this for $150 off) and you just can’t imagine how incredible it is. We have a Dish 622 DVR and most HD programming is outstanding. Not all HD is created equal though, but you can expect this set to provide you with the best picture your source has to offer. We have played around some with the various picture settings and it is great to have so many options to tweak to your own personal likes and dislikes. Maybe a better picture could be obtained with a calibration dvd or a professional but I can’t imagine getting it much better than you could yourself. It’s already that good. And I have had our bedroom tv (Samsung 42″ dlp) and our former living room tv (Panasonic 47″ HD rear projection) calibrated professionally. It did help both of those sets. But this one is far superior without calibration than either of those afterward.

I would also like to comment on Amazon as a seller. The morning after I placed the order, the price dropped $100. Because the tv had not been shipped (that is now their policy), they gave me the credit. However, when I had placed the order, the blu-ray offer was for $200 off making the player “free”. By the time the tv shipped, the blu-ray offer was only $150 off and that was changed on my order summary to reflect that. All of this is just very minor, but I thought it might be useful to anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation. Bottom line is we got the tv and blue-ray for less than I could find for just the tv by itself anywhere else. And of course, no tax, no shipping charge. Our order was placed on Friday, received the blu-ray on Monday! Pilot was prepared to deliver the tv on Thursday but we delayed it until the following Tuesday as we were having our new stand delivered on Monday.

Speaking of shipping, I cannot for the life of me understand why some on here feel compelled not to give this tv a true review because they might not have had a perfect shipping experience. These are, after all, “PRODUCT” reviews. I was one of the majority of customers who had a perfect shipping experience with Pilot. The only thing that was left off was they could not start up the set because of the extremely low temperature here at the time of delivery. Not worth damaging the set over. Obviously, they could not sit around for an hour or more waiting for the set to warm to a safe temperature. That is just pure professionalism as far as I’m concerned. They were very prompt, courteous, even going so far as to help my husband carry our humongous old set out to his shop because we had no one around to help us with that. We did give them a nice tip which they tried to refuse.

If anyone has an issue with their delivery, they should take it up with Amazon, not take stars away from this outstanding product. One other suggestion is to verify with the delivery company when they call exactly what you expect. Just don’t wait until afterward and then slam the review. And besides, the shipping is free after all.

I will parrot what so many others have said: Buy it. You will be thrilled!

5 Stars Worth Searching For
I looked and looked at all the options and finally decided to go with the LN52A650. The reason came down to one simple thing (beyond all the positive reviews). I went and looked at Best Buy, AV Discount, Circuit City etc. and in every case the Picture on the Samsung looked better to me than any of the others. Forget the technical specs, response times, setting options, etc. What it comes down to is what looks best to you, and that was teh Samsung, hands down. Been watching it now with Digital Comcast HD and the picture is fantastic. Regular network programming HD channels are out of this world. I am coming from a regular picture tube TV so the Discovery channel, Survivor, even CSI are unbelievable. It even makes the Warriors look good and the Sharks are off the charts. The Niners are another story. The sound is NOT a problem despite the reports and I was afraid of that. The delivery was great and not tax and no shipping costs were another plus from amazon. I am not even worried that is it now about almost $100 cheaper. it was worth getting it sooner. I went with the cheap HDMI cables from Amazon (about $1.50) and they only carry 60mhz but you can see it vs COAX. I recommend them. I also got monster power cleaner / protection for Surge protection and coax Cable cleaner(only $20 online). The cable guy told me it is a scam and not necessary, all home circuits are already grounded but for $20 I now have $100,000 warranty against damage. He thought I paid the $100+ they sell for in the store said A surge protector is a good idea and with a half dozen power cords you need something anyway.

I highly recommend this TV to anyone.

My only complaint is the loud signal it puts out when you turn it on and off…. Must be some way to disable that.

Can’t wait to see the Giants next season on it.

5 Stars Awesome picture- right out of the box
Great television. We love it- it has re-newed our interest in watching movies again. My only complaint- and this is very minor, the power switch and other touch controls on the front edge of the TV are worthless. Why did they waste the money. Oh well– buy this TV you will not be disappointed.

As the New Year approaches I want to wish all of you the best for 2009. For many this will be a challenging year. During the holiday vacation I have spend more than a few hours sitting at coffee shops looking out the window and wondering what the new year has in store. This picture was made during one of those visits.I still find myself scooterless. Hoping for some update on the status of the mythic master cylinder for my Vespa GTS I stopped by the dealer today but they are closed until Frid
